Bubble Flower

When you make ‘stuff’ from the parts of ‘other stuff’, the process tends (at least in my case) to begin when I pick up a part and think; “This should be a …” All kinds of thoughts follow that one, but more often than not, the hook has been set. After finishing this lamp, I had this glass stopper left over, and it refused to be stored away in a drawer. It’s really too small to be its own lamp, and I didn’t want it to end up ‘tacked on’ to something bigger, so a flower it was destined to be. I used a carburetor body as the base, spun some twisted copper wire for the stem, and grew out some bicycle disk brake leaves to finish it off. Waste not, want not.
