I won an auction for give or take 380 6 inch test tubes. I’m still not a hundred percent what I’m going to do with all of them, but I thought these were a cool way to use some. The bases are assemblies from aircraft air conditioner compressors, the spines are valve pushrods car engines, the arms of the four-tube stand are tuning pegs from an upright piano. All the normal kinds of things one can find in a garage. I think I like how they are, but you could use them to hold flowers, pencils, colored sand, chop sticks, a moderate diamond collection…
