The fun thing about working with trash, is that new possibilities (and materials) are all around. This piece is a great example. I was showing a friend from out of town around once, and we saw these little trees made from twisted wire in a shop. I mentioned that I’d been thinking about trying to make something like that and, as we crossed the street, my friend picked up a small section of stranded copper wire. I added in some other left-over scraps of glass, and the result was this little bonsai of detritus.
