Candle Cup Flower

I’m a sucker for shiny things.  When I take something apart or am going through somebody’s junk pile, I just can’t help holding onto the stuff that catches the light.  At some point though, that stuff has to become something else and a flower is a great way to use up the smaller elements that I’ve accrued.  This flower started with a little glass candle holder and thermo-coupler from an old furnace.  I bolted them to a guard off of a string-trimmer mounted to an exhaust manifold cover that’s welded to a coffee burr.  I then welded on some lawnmower valves with spotlight reflectors that I glued some carburetor needles to.  I finished up by screwing in a fan blade from an electric motor and 12 disconnected elements are ready to catch the light in a totally new way.
