About

In the world of espresso, 9 Bar of pressure is the hallmark parameter and foundational principle of the perfect shot.  In the same way, I look for just the right amount of pressure to bring disconnected elements together in a way that preserves their character while forming something truly unique.

I started welding while working in Equipment and Facilities for a small coffee roaster in upstate New York, and developed an affinity for working with discarded materials.  In 2015 our family moved to Bryan, tx where my art steered towards lamps and furniture to complement our home. Shifting circumstances in 2022 led our family to relocate again to Ann Arbor, MI where we now reside.  While I’ve done a fair number of “new-steel” projects, my eye is always turning to the unusual piece and wondering what could that be?
